No. High risk work licences (forklifts, cranes, EWPs over 11 m and the like) come from your state regulator, and other plant needs documented operator competency from your employer. This course covers the safety system around plant — inspections, guarding, zones, spotters, isolation — for everyone who works on or near it.
No. It's a workplace awareness course, so you get a certificate of completion rather than a statement of attainment. It evidences the general information, training and instruction employers owe under the WHS Act, but your employer still verifies your competence on the specific plant you use.
Anyone who works on or around mobile plant on a construction site — labourers and ground workers first, then operators, trades and apprentices. Most people on site spend more time near a machine than in one, and that's who this course is written for.
