Video recordingsThe practicals include short recorded videos of you explaining your decisions and answers — phone camera or webcam is fine, and alternatives may be available if being on camera isn't workable. A trainer marks every submission with written feedback, and if you're not yet competent you resubmit. That's part of the process, not a penalty.

Yes. QBCC Managerial (BSBESB402) is nationally recognised training delivered by Nexa Training, RTO 46538. You receive a Statement of Attainment valid across Australia.
60 nominal hrs — most finish in ~36. Delivery: 100% online · self-paced. You must complete the course within 3 months of commencing.
You don't. Your Statement of Attainment doesn't expire, and QBCC doesn't ask you to redo the unit. Your QBCC licence itself is renewed with QBCC each year, but that's a licence fee — not re-training. Keep your Statement of Attainment somewhere safe: if you ever let your licence lapse, QBCC may ask to see it again when you reinstate.
Webcam verification confirms it's really you doing the work — periodic photos during the online components. If anything looks off, a trainer gives you a call to verify your knowledge. It protects the value of the Statement of Attainment you walk away with.

Yes — for the managerial part. BSBESB402 is the QBCC-approved managerial qualification for trade contractor licences and trade nominee supervisors, and it's also used for the ESO electrical contractor's licence and QBP certification. Your application also needs the technical side — your trade qualification and experience — which is separate from this unit. Heads up for builders: builder licence classes (low-rise, medium-rise, open) have their own, higher managerial requirements, so check your class with QBCC first, or ask us.
Three videos of 2–3 minutes each, responding to the Hunt Builders scenario — like explaining a contract position to someone on site, except recorded. Phone camera or webcam is fine, and alternatives are available if being on camera isn't workable for you.
No formal prerequisites. The course assumes you're working in construction or planning to start a construction business — familiarity with contracts and subcontracting helps but isn't required.
