/ about RTO 46538 · Brisbane
real skills. straight up.

A Brisbane training organisation built by people from the trades — not a compliance mill with a logo.

01 — the short version

Nexa started on the tools, not in a boardroom.

Our roots are in the electrical trade — years of real sites, real switchboards, and more than a few compliance courses that were nothing but a slideshow and a certificate printer. We built Nexa to be the opposite of that: training written by people who’ve done the work, assessed on scenarios that look like the job, delivered with technology that respects your time instead of wasting it.

When we teach Low-Voltage Rescue, the scenario runs on a simulated live 400V board because that’s what the real moment looks like. When we teach first aid, you spend the day on the floor with manikins, not watching videos. Straight up — that’s the whole philosophy.

02 — what we are

A registered training organisation, regulated by ASQA — RTO 46538.

On the nationally recognised side, our scope covers the tickets South-East Queensland actually runs on: the QLD White Card (CPCWHS1001), the full first aid family (HLTAID009, 010, 011 and 012), Low-Voltage Rescue (UETDRMP018), the QBCC managerial unit (BSBESB402), and the Victorian-accredited asthma & anaphylaxis pair (22702VIC + 22578VIC). Every completion issues a Statement of Attainment recognised across Australia.

Alongside that sits our awareness microlearning — sixteen packs of RTO-authored, phone-first courses on the everyday hazards, with every completion tracked in the Compliance Hub. Practical training, honestly labelled: awareness courses are not nationally recognised units, and we’ll never pretend otherwise.

03 — how we train

Small groups, real scenarios. Practical workshops run from our Banyo training centre with capped numbers — ARC-compliant manikins, AED trainers, a simulated 400V distribution board, and assessments built around situations you’ll actually face.

Live virtual where it works. White Card runs by live virtual classroom 7 days a week to anywhere in Queensland — a real trainer, capped at 20, exactly as WHSQ requires.

On-site for teams. We bring the whole kit to your workplace and train crews on their own ground — how in-house works →

Technology as a lever. Online learning that works on a phone in a ute, microlearning in five-minute bites, and a compliance dashboard that flags renewals before they lapse. The tech amplifies the training — it never replaces the trainer.

04 — the people

Real photos on the way — the manikins are holding the fort.

Sparkie by trade, filmmaker by training — which explains a lot about how Nexa looks. Kieran sets the direction, runs the day-to-day, and is the reason the courses feel like they were made this decade.

The reason RTO 46538 walks into audits calm. Rick writes the policy framework, manages the risk, and keeps every course inside the lines ASQA draws.
