A plain-English reference to the tickets a SEQ worksite needs — and roughly when each one expires.
UPDATED 15 JUL 2026 · NEXA TRAINING, RTO 46538
Almost everything a worksite needs falls into one of two buckets, and the difference matters when an auditor asks.
Nationally recognised training is delivered by a registered training organisation against a unit on the national register. Finish one and you receive a Statement of Attainment — recognised by employers and regulators across Australia. Nexa delivers these under RTO 46538, assessed on real scenarios rather than click-through video, with your Statement of Attainment issued on completion.
Awareness training is practical, RTO-authored online learning that issues a certificate of completion. It’s the right tool for keeping a workforce current on the everyday hazards — manual handling, silica, site induction, hot work — but it is not a nationally recognised unit of competency, and shouldn’t be presented as one. Both have their place; the trick is knowing which a given role actually requires.
For a typical construction or trades worksite in South-East Queensland, a handful of nationally recognised tickets come up again and again. As a general guide to currency:
- White Card (CPCWHS1001) — required before anyone steps onto a construction site, and held for life once issued.
- Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) — the benchmark workplace first-aid certificate, renewed every three years, with the CPR component refreshed yearly.
- CPR (HLTAID009) — the annual refresh that keeps the first-aid chain of currency intact between full renewals.
- Low-Voltage Rescue (UETDRMP018) — renewed annually for electrical workers and anyone working alongside a live work permit.
Renewal periods are set by the relevant training package, regulator or licensing body and can change, so treat these as a starting point rather than the last word — and always confirm what a particular role, site or licence requires.
Keeping all of this straight across a crew is where most of the effort goes. Nexa’s Compliance Hub tracks completions and currency in one dashboard and flags renewals before anything lapses — included free with every microlearning pack.
